Anyway - found the other Erie WalMart! I took a trip and drive around... and there it was, right where they said it was haha. I also found a Tops and Sheetz, a cool gas station/store thing (accoring to Pennsylvanians, i havent been there yet LOL)
At WalMart, I found these candles that my grandma had out for Christmas and stuff when I was little, but she hasnt had them in a long time (i think she used to get them in canada). They are just white tapers, but the wax drips different colors! haha So, of course I had to get some...

well geeze guys... thanks for worrying about me... LOL But dont worry, I didnt do anything crazy.. haha I was just at Kristin's and instead of walking home late (cuz its so scary lol) I just stayed over...
We didnt even do that much... had some wine coolers and watched some movies... then Jenn came over, so we just hung out. Of course, Jenn had some dramatic stomach pain... lol she is such an attention seeker. It went away in like a minute, but she was rolling around on the couch... looked pretty crazy. (obviously she was fine, or I wouldnt be laffing lol.. she had gas pains or something hahahaha... and shes pretty gassy, she should have known LOL)
So, no plans for today yet... prolly going to WalMart soon (woo hoo hehe) and the movies later.... fun fun

well, I had to sit through boring OSHA videos today :OP We had to have an orientation at the hospital, so we can bug patients starting next week.... But, we did get to walk around in our lab coats and look all professional HAHA We also got new name badges, so we have to wear 2 (Gannon ones and ones from St. Vincent's lol)

yaaaaay!! Pharm was cancelled tonight... no more classes 'til tomorrow haha I really hate having that class so late (well, especially the break from 11 - 4:30 on Tuesdays lol) Thursdays are bad too (no big break, cuz I have lab) and then the day is sooo long.

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Martin St. Louis, the Tampa Bay Lightning's leader
scorer, broke his right leg crashing into the boards Wednesday night against
the Pittsburgh Penguins and will be out indefinitely.
St. Louis was carrying the puck in the Penguins' end and had just made a pass
when he was checked into the left wing boards by defenseman Josef Melichar
1:31 in.
St. Louis did not appear to strike the boards unusually hard, and Melichar was
not penalized on the play, but the Lightning center crumbled to the ice as his
leg apparently absorbed the impact of the awkward blow.
After being attended to for several minutes, St. Louis -- visibly in pain -- was
carried off the ice and returned to the locker room for X-rays, which revealed
a break just above the right ankle.
Poor guy :O( Some other Lightning guy fought Melichar in the 3rd period and his nose may be broken from hitting the ice... (not that it helps poor Martin's leg, but.... haha)

well... todays lectures were exciting... we talked about SHIT (really, we did LOL) I definately need that job with the Sabres... ok... on friday I was kind of excited about my problem based medicine class... it seemed like we would be learning how to put stuff together finally. Like, we get a complaint and then we go through and think of all the possible problems it could be, then ask questions to narrow it down and then do the physical exam to get an even better idea. Great... finally, thats what I've been worrying about. Then today, the other lady who teaches the class was there for her part. it's weird that they are doing it so seperate, but whatever. for her, we have to do an oral presentation (blah right there). well, it involves us getting a chief complaint today and then we have to come up with some differential diagnoses. Fine, no problem, not scary haha, makes sense. But our actual presentation, in front of the class, is to "go in to the room" and talk with the "patient" (her). So our only preparation is the differential diagnosis list :OP We wont know what is the actual "right answer" until she gives us her "symptoms" during the presentation. ahhhhhh I have enough problems with these when I can prepare and just read the thing! Then at the end, we have to give a mini-report, like we would to our preceptor in clinicals... 15 min to do the whole thing.. figure out whats wrong and stuff.... OK - I realize that in the "real world" we will only have that much time, so thats ok, except I hate thinking on the spot in front of everyone... in the real world, I wont have an audience grading me, just the patient lol.
I just really dont feel ready for this yet.... (I kno, its all preparation, to make me ready for it... lol) at least I dont have to go first! haha
Oh, and of course, my chief complaint is : a 70 year old male with difficulty urinating x 1 month. LOL (i had this "patient" in PD lab last semester) At least it's not too hard... i have a pretty good idea whats wrong LOL

ok, catch up time i guess... funny how i dont blog when i actually do stuff hahaha
so Friday after classes I went to the mall with Julie, my ex-roomie Tiffany, and her roommate Yvonne. I had to get a lab coat (woo hoo how professional LOL) and actually found one on sale. Then we rented a movie (Sweet November... yeah, chickflick haha) and hung out. It was really nice to see Tiff again.
Saturday, I slept in of course! haha did some stuff around the apt. made posters for the upcoming movie next weekend and went grocery shopping (finally haha) Kristin and I wanted an "adventure" so we drove to Ohio again (lol it's not that far!) but we got back too early so we rented a movie too. We watched "The Score"... Ed Norton - yaaay haha (Robert DeNero was good too haha) that was a good movie (even if Kristin did fall asleep lol).
So today I had to go to this APB retreat. For an all day thing, it didnt drag on anyway. We did have to talk about these stupid "lifecore" wheel assessment things... blah. I'm pretty well rounded tho, except for political and cultural haha It's dumb tho. The rest of the time was ok. We reviewed a motivational book we had to read, "Fish!", and came up with some leadership ideas (yeah, so not my thing, but i guess I am in a leadership position hahaha). Then we got to go out to dinner, (max and ermas hehe) so that was cool haha. Nice to unwind after the meetings. The group gets along really well so it was just fun...
And now I am here... trying not to do any work (not hard... haha) and watching NIN thing I taped for Sara :O)
