well... CPR was blah. I mean I know the stuff, but it is nice to get a refresher. I just couldnt believe some of the people in the class... they are "smart kids" but they didnt get this stuff? They were worried about the test!?! This stuff is hardly brain surgery... its the same stuff they teach to 12 year olds. Its very good to know, but its not difficult. I guess I just get this common sense stuff better than neurosurgery :OP lol
So now I should pack my car and head home... since Eric is leaving tomorrow and he left me a nice comment :O) So, note to Eric, call my cell! I'll be around...

OMB I JUST BOUGHT A PALM-PILOT!!! hehehe way too much fun!! and it will be super helpful on rotations and in the "real world" I just have to dl medical books and stuff for it!! yaaaay and like 5 or more people already have them in my class, so we were all talking about them today and sharing info and stuff... hahah and Dr.s use them all the time.. it's great! a new toy!! (since I cant buy a laptop like I wanted haha)
So yeah, besides that, my day was ok.. class was boring again, but we didnt have to be there until 1:00, so I can live with that. Tomorrow we are geting re-certified in CPR and next week learning ACLS (advanced cardiac life support), so at least its not just sitting in a classroom.
I'm driving home tomorrow evening, since I dont have class on Fri.. nice 4 day weekend! woo hooo So here's a reminder to anyone who reads this and will be in the area... hehe I dont get to see you guys much (at all) this summer :O( Until I have 3 rotations at home!!! (and the 1st one, from 8/12 - 9/18, I'm on a break - research actually, but I'm home with just that to do... hehe)

Class was actually fun today haha We learned how to scrub, gown and glove for surgery... its hard to "maintain the sterile field" at all times... but it was pretty funny practicing lol We even got to take home our gown and a pair of gloves to practice with :O)
Then I fell asleep for awhile (not used to a routine yet haha) and Cory called.... she came back to pack up her apt. and stuff... well I prevented that for a while by going over and talking hehe Oh well.... She was in the Bahamas for 3 days last week, so i had to see the pics and hear stories :O) The people she and her Mom went with were pretty interesting. 6 divorced wives, and they all knew each other somehow through it all lol Some of their stories were right out of a soap opera! hehe (makes my Moms seem pretty dull haha)
I need a topic for my paper. Blah I have to write a paper again! lol I dont know what to do it on, but I'm thinking something that could be sports (hockey hehe) related, orthopedics-type topic... any ideas?? I could use one! Its gotta be something "presentable", not just a research topic. The paper is supposed to be something that would be able to be published in a medical journal (and sometimes they actually do get published!) I just dont have an idea yet :OP

I'm back in Erie again! :OP
Class today was long... didnt do much, we were just there forever, talking about little stuff we need to know.
Anyway, the rest of last week was more of the same nothing haha. Another exciting Friday night of grocery shopping with Mom... woo hooo Saturday we visited Amy at work (Jack Astor's) for lunch, and I got a cell phone. Then I took Mom out for her 1st trip to the Casino! hehe I think we were in there for about an hour, and then our tokens were gone! haha Oh well... Mom ended up with an extra $4, but I lost $8 :OP It was funny tho... then we stopped in to bug Nathan at work (JT Wheatfield's) and get a drink. We broke all the rules on Saturday! hehe gambling, drinking... having fun! ahhh it's so nice to be out of John's house! lol
So, yeah, back in Erie... I'm in the process of switching rooms yaaay... I can't believe how huge this room is! I had 2 small ones before, and now I have the biggest one! (too bad its only for 6 weeks haha) The closet is even big, so I can keep it looking neat anyway! lol You all have to come visit sometime... I didnt get to see ya when I was on break!
So, I guess thats about it... back to work for me... :OP
