Finally friday!! hehe Even tho it was only a 4 day week, it seemed really long - probably because I had to get up so early every day (well, ok, early for me! haha I'm sure I'll be up that early and earlier the rest of my life :OP but I like sleep!)
Anyway, my test this morning was fine. Everyone was so worried about it, since we had heard that last years class all failed the 1st time! But it wasnt really a problem, I only missed 3, I think only a couple of people failed (so they just had to retake it then)
On the way home, we passed Arby's and Jen said she wanted to go, so we walked there for lunch (since we all had to go home for $, we just walked back). When I got home, my roommate Ally was just about to leave for the beach, so i went with her. She's home for the summer and just came up here for a race tomorrow, so it was nice to hang out with her again. It was sooo windy there though, we were getting sand in our faces! lol
Well, I left my wonderful neighbors a note yesterday afternoon asking them to keep the music down, and I havent heard them too much! yaaay! Obviously I still know they are there, and can still hear music, but its not like before. So I'm glad they were nice about it anyway. :O)

I hate people - especially the people who live upstairs. I was hoping the building would be pretty empty over the summer, but the only people i can tell are still here is the assholes above me. and its not even the people from before, since I switched rooms (and there are 2 different apts above this one) Actually, i think its a new person up there or something, because I havent had too much of a problem since i moved back in, until last night. I think there was a party, and I'm pretty sure they were line dancing above my head at 2:30 am. Since I could hear the music, lyrics and all (wonderful Shania :OP), and then heard stomping, I'm assuming they were dancing hahaha Of course, then there was totally different music later, i believe I heard Unskinny Bop at some point too (while I like cheesey 80's music, i do not appreciate it when I am trying to sleep) And since I had class at 8 again, I slept for approximately 3 1/2 hours last night - a totally unacceptable amount for me. I thought I'd just take a nap, as usual, but they are now blasting their music again. I cant really complain too much, since it is 11 and most people would be up, but since I didnt sleep because of them last night (and did not get to sleep in) i am pissed. It was so loud I had to turn on my own radio to try and drown it out (but their bass was still shaking my light grrrrr) Anyway - I ended up falling asleep to NIN - the frail on repeat (it worked pretty well, no words, nice soft melody haha) So when I got up this morning, I took it off repeat and played the rest of the CD pretty loudly.. hehe (although I doubt it bothered them, since I could hardly hear it from the kitchen, oh well... the floor/ceiling seems to be more permeable anyway lol)
So class was kind of a blur, since I had to fight to stay awake. We started to put things together and ran some "mega-codes" haha (like on TV, when a person comes in with a heart attack or something, and theres people all around doing stuff, someones intubating, someones shocking, someones starting an IV... haha fun fun) Anyway, that test is tomorrow, so I guess I actually have to study tonight...
Current mood: tired and irritated - but i think they left, so nap time haha

Class was boring today, but it went quickly anyway. Then someone had the bright idea to go out for lunch, so we went to Fridays! We talked about the upcoming rotations and how scared we are... I'm so glad they feel the same way as I do. (I'm not glad we're all scared, just that I'm not the only one! hehe) It's kind of encouraging in a weird way.
and Thank-you Carolyn... I got my research topic. So now I have to write a paper on Concussions - hey it will help me with my hockey players, right?! hahaha (i know.... i'm psycho!)
Current mood: not bad... kinda bored

it turned out to be a pretty good Birthday, considering I wasnt expecting anything. People remembered in class, so I was greeted by that when I walked in :O) Jen brought me some flowers in the afternoon... very pretty, some sort of blue ones (I dont know what they are called, but I like them! hehe and a rose. She's so thoughtful. Then I bought myself some ice cream and watched a movie. Danielle and Carolyn wished me a Happy Birthday too... so all in all, I'm feeling pretty loved, even if I am old now... theres no more "good" birthdays left :OP

blah back in Erie..... oh well... It was nice to go home again and actually get to see people! hehe Thursday night Eric and I walked around the Falls for about an hour and 1/2... It was nice, good conversations, but he should have brought a jacket & I should have worn sneakers! haha
Saturday we "celebrated" my grandpa's and my birthday... just dinner and a cake. Not much, but its nice to get together with the family, when there isnt fighting and shit in the background! hehe Then Sara and Carolyn picked me up and we headed back to the Falls. It was really nice to get to see them for once too! (I feel isolated down here, :O( everyone gets to have fun all summer without me) Too bad it started pouring on our walk and we were soaked by the time we got back to the car! The lightning was amazing tho... very cool to watch, especially as we were driving along the river....
Sunday night I saw "Insomnia" with my sister... I love Al Pacino :O) so he made the movie for me, but it was interesting anyway. The plot wasnt like the impression I had from the previews, and I was kinda getting "mad" at parts, but in the end, it worked out. hehe (doesnt it always? lol) It was different than expected, but I still liked it!
Monday was the usual "Memorial day" stuff - yard work! hehe I actually mowed the lawn with the crappy $5 garage sale mower we have, so thats my excuse for it looking bad :OP (its not that bad, just the back which I dont care about lol) I did some laundry too, just so i could hang it out on the line to dry hehe I did manage to get some color too, so I'm not quite as "glo-in-the-dark", but my legs still are (and prolly will stay that way!)
So now I'm back. We had class at 8 this morning :OP It is actually better than I thought it was going to be...a lot of it is kinda review, and then learning to go a little farther... And - we learned how to intubate!!! woo hooo! I can stick a tube down someone's throat like they do on ER hehe It was fun (well, ok, it wont be fun to actually do it, since in that case the person needs it and if I dont do it right, thats really not good... but i feel good knowing I can do it!)
since I got up way too early (and since I love to sleep) I think it's nap time... my bed is calling me! lol
Current mood: tired
