I passed my test yesterday! haha I picked peripheral vascular, so it wasnt too completely horrible, except that I kept saying that everything was venous, but some were arterial haha oh well.. she just went over them with me after, but I still passed cuz I knew how to do the tests, just not what they were for! LOL oh and before the test, we learned how to suture on pig's feet... kinda gross, but not too bad... anyway... another skill - I can give stitches!! (I've been waiting so long to do that! hehe)
Then Jen, Crystal and I went out for dinner... nothing spectacular to report, but it was good. I had to get some rum for my daquari mix, so we went to the liquor store. I ended up getting "Cabana Boy" since it was on sale and there was a guy serving drinks on the bottle... hehe its a pretty neat bottle... The guy at the counter commented on him, and said, "yeah, maybe he'll strip for you later"... interesting...
So then I came home, talked to Julie for awhile and got ready for the slumber party! hehe It was here, since I have a pretty big apt. Jen brought jell-o shots, but she didnt have cups, so she made jigglers! lol too bad they didnt harden enough with the alcohol in them.... but we ate them anyway, we just used spoons!! hehe I made strawberry dacquaris, they were really good! haha It was some Crystal Lite mix someone gave me when they were moving out, I just added wild cherry rum... yummmy!
So we watched Jerry Maguire and hung out for awhile... we were gonna pop in the sleepover classic.. Dirty Dancing... but for some reason, didnt.. oh well...
Everyone got up around 9:15 and helped clean up a little.. then I went back to bed for a nap til 11, did all the dishes and will now pack the car for home... great.
Current mood: good... need to pack and get going...

well... i studied... and then Crystal came over and we studied some more... I dont know if I'm ready for it, since its so random. I just hope I pick an exam I know real well, or I'll havew to retake it plus another one! oh well.. I managed to pass them before, so... I just hope I get lucky again! haha

This morning we learned how to tie surgical knots.... it was tricky at first, but I got the hang of it pretty fast. Not it actually seems easy haha I even got to teach someone, so that made me feel better and helped me go over it more... In the afternoon, we had an "Ethicon" rep come and talk to us about the different kinds of suture material...
Our prof came down then and gave us a sheet with the info for our rotations... that was pretty scary. To actually have that in our hands, knowing that its coming up sooo soon. I'm sure it will all be fine, its just the fear of the unknown I guess... but right now, and until its over, its a big fear! hah and it will still be there every 6 weeks... you just have time to get comfortable, then you move on... ahhhhh
current mood: really really need to study for my test tomorrow... :OP

so... the rest of yesterday... we casted each other in the afternoon! hehe I've never had a real cast before, so it was kinda fun (only because we cut them off the same day! haha) We did an arm and a leg. Another "skill" for me! haha
The NP called me back then, but he already has students for the summer and fall... He did say that he would look around for me tho, so that was extremely nice of him....
Later, I was watching the game, when Julie came back with some people and we ended up going out to the Plymouth. It was quarter draft night, so it was semi-busy. And the game was on, so I saw the sad, sad ending... :OP
This morning I had to go to Westfield to do some more research. Boring, but it needed to get done. Jen and I went to Perkin's for lunch for "super summer salads" hehe It was nice to go out.
Then my prof called me back - She found a site!! yaaaaaaay! I have someplace to "work" in July! It's in Erie, so I'll be here for a while more... but its something. And the lady I'll be working with sounds nice, so thats a little less scary! lol

omg... you really do find things when you clean!! I just found a little bottle of "Sierra Sunrise" lotion that Sara gave me when they stopped making the scent! haha That was soooo long ago, i forgot about it! Still smells good too... yum haha

nothing much to mention about the weekend, except that I got my paper done!! I obviously didnt do much else, since I hate writing papers and totally procrastinate even while working on them! hehe So thats a nice feeling of accomplishment... i did something. And its not even due for a few weeks! I just figured that I dont have much free time to actually sit here and type a paper, except for last weekend.... since I have a big test on thursday, i'm going home this weekend, and then theres just not much time to do a paper and get the presentation ready... anyway - yaaay I'm done with that!
So I called the Dr office when I got back from class (about 20 min ago)... I just left a message for someone (the Dr or NP, but i think its gonna be the NP, which is fine) to call me back about a rotation... the lady I was talking to was clueless, but as long as they call me back, i'll be ok haha I really hope this works out... theres not much time left!! ahhh the pressure... lol
I have class this afternoon, and we are putting casts on each other! haha fun fun It'll be interesting anyway!
