yes... last night I totally sat around the apt... did absolutely nothing! well, I went to Tops for like 20 minutes haha I watched 3 Men and a Little Lady on tv.. haha gotta love cheesey movies. then Law & Order (of course).. then I fell asleep! woo hoooo so exciting. Toda should be more of the same nothing... WalMart prolly... and packing... I really need to do that soon.
I know I complained about sitting around and not having much to do last month... but right now, Its great! hehe You can only really enjoy it for so long before you are just bored. So weekends are good...

woo hoo its Friday!!
My prof came in this morning to see how things were going... I passed the site visit anyway! hehe Sally said good things about me, so that was nice to hear. and my prof was really reassuring about it being the 1st rotation and all... so thats over...
The rest of the day was fine too. I did have a strange case tho... One lady has little bumps on the roof of her mouth that hurt, on just one side. We have no idea what caused it. It was interesting anyway...
So, my evening plans... I need to go grocery shopping, since I couldnt before haha and i need some things from WalMart... ooo yeah - fun and exciting.. The rest of the weekend will probably be spent packing (or pretending to anyway hehe)

today went fast, as we were pretty busy for once. I saw one lady who was pretty crazy, thinks there is something moving around in her face... and she picks at it. she has scars all over. I hope she is getting better, since she only has 1 sore right now. Apparently, she used to have a lot (hence the scars) It was weird. It was a good thing she is a long time client and Sally warned me ahead of time, or I wouldnt have known what to do about that one. Some things you just dont learn in classes...
My mom came and picked me up from work (gave poor Julie a break!) and gave me my car keys. But here is more proof that I am completely losing it... my mind is gone. We got back to my apartment, but I didnt have those keys with me! I left them on my dresser... and Julie was out. Wonderful. So yeah, we went to the mall for a while and got some food. Julie was back by then, so we could get into the apt. Then more drama...
My sister had another one of her "spells"... it was pretty freaky - I never saw a whole one. and thank god it was only a "little" one and didnt last more than 10 minutes maybe, but it felt like longer... she couldnt breathe, so thats always scary. Just as I was thinking, time to go to the ER, she started getting better. It was so weird... no clue what happened, it was just all of a sudden. And she was all shaking and stuff... not good... Mom's gonna call the Dr (yet again) tomorrow... hopefully they can figure it out soon. Its so weird we are just calling it "Amy's Disease" hehe
So yeah - thats about all... Yippeee Tomorrow is Friday! but my Prof is coming to the office tomorrow for a site visit, so a little nervous, but I have no idea what to expect, so not too much haha

Well, had an interesting man come in this morning... he had eaten a piece of steak and a donut for breakfast!! who eats like that, ever? and he's diabetic!! Thats great, your body has a hard time using sugars like normal, so lets eat a something very sugary (not to mention fatty)... yeah, we ended up sending him to the ER. You would think people would learn, but no one does...
Oh, I also got to give someone an injection! hehe Intradermal, for a PPD (TB) test. I actually did it quite well too :O) (I seem to do ok with a needle hehe)
I actually got to do some interesting things today, even though it was slow. I kinda like it slow, cuz I have time to do what I need to do and I dont feel rushed. Plus I get to study between patients. haha
Anyway... still no sign of my damn keys. I cant believe I lost them... why do I always do this kind of thing?!?! So my wonderful, amazing mother is going to try to express mail them in the morning to see if they can get here by the afternoon... but if they cant, then she is going to drive down here for me... I feel so dumb...

Anyway - I somehow lost my car keys after I got out of the car after work... this is totally crazy... I had them in my hand when I got out of the car, and now I dont know where they are. I searched my room, and looked outside around the car too... wtf am I going to to about this one?? uuggggghhhhh :OP

OH MY GOD... m internet is WORKING!!! ahhhhh haha
So yeah - just got back from NT... its sad how much I miss it lately, prolly cuz its summer and everyone is there and I'm not... haha anyway - it was a good weekend :O)
Ok, since I didnt get to post anything last week, heres some stuff about my rotation!!
- 1st day: I just followed my preceptor around... kinda boring, but I'm sooo glad shes letting me take it slow (being my 1st rotation and all) The lady I'm working with is really nice, so that helps a lot! Actually the whole office is nice, so yaaay.
- 2nd day: we had 0 patients in the morning, and only a few in the afternoon. Thats the way it goes, I guess... I'm working in a little clinic and with the weather being so "nice" people would rather do other things (who wouldnt haha) These people are notorious for breaking appts too, so that never helps haha
- 3rd day: better, in the way that I saw more patients. I went in and did histories and quick exams, then went over everything with Sally and we talked about what to do... more intersting anyway.
Then I went home, so thats that... haha
Hopefully the internet will keep working now, and I'll post more later...
