1 week down... Surgery is soooo fascinating, but also super stressful (for me, since I'm clueless! haha) and I have to concentrate on the procedure and listen to the radio, since I get quized on both!! haha Both the surgeons I work with are excellent tho, and its really interesting. I also work with a 3rd year med student & a 1st year resident... so I end up at med student "functions" all the time LOL we do our rounds at 6:30 and then go to "morning report" before we meet up with one of the doctors. It's cool cuz I can listen to them and its reviewing stuff for me too, plus I actually know what they are talking about (most of the time lol) so that just makes me feel smart! hehe And one of the doctors called for me & I am living at the house across the street with other med students (for free!! hehe woo hoo) It's only for another week, but it sure helped me out tons! Hopefully the one lead my professor got will work out for the rest of the time.
So thats all for now... maybe I'll be home again next weekend....
